CHEN Yu, ZHANG Yi, ZHANG Hui
2009, 23(2): 106-110. doi: 10.3969/j.issn.1009-444X.2009.02.003
Abstract:
The gas wall heater has been widely used in recent years because of its better economic benefit and social benefit compared with the traditional heating modes. Most of the gas wall heaters accepted by consumers in China are produced by European countries, therefore the heaters which are popular in the markets are de-signed for natural gas. One of the important problems which appeared during the process of product promotion and utilization is the matching problem between the gas resources and the gas heater designed for natural gas. The relationship between gas property and fire hole diameter of gas heater was discussed based on the Huabai number and interchangeability between natural and artificial gases.

LI Pei-chao
2009, 23(2): 157-160. doi: 10.3969/j.issn.1009-444X.2009.02.013
Abstract:
The stress state of perforation holes was re-inspected in this paper, and it is found that the horizon-tal principal stresses should be substituted by the vertical and radial normal stresses. Utilizing the substituting method, the breakdown pressure for one certain position of perforation depth was derived. According to it, the artificial vertical fracture will appear at the base of the perforation, and the corresponding modified formula of formation breakdown pressure for arbitrary perforation completions was given. Comparing the formula with the original formula, we find that the original one can be seen as an approximation of formation breakdown pressure. The results show that the stress condition and actual situation of the perforated formation can be bet-ter reflected in the modified formula, which is applicable to guide drilling and fracturing designs of oilfields.
