Flame Retardant, Mechanism and Research Status for Rubber Systems

  • The combustion process of rubber was summarized. Three key elements and five stages determining the combustion process were put up. Then, the advantages, disadvantages, research and application status at home and abroad of halogen, phosphorus, aluminum-magnesium, silicon, intumescent types of flame-retardant agents were reviewed. Lastly, the future development of the flame-retardant additives were prospected.
